Thats one solution but you cannot sue the gun companies for making the tools.
If someone dies in a car accident people do not sue the car company, they look to the driver to be prosecuted for the death unless there was a clear design fault.
Guns are by nature tools, it is up to people to use them responsibly and as the Government is an extention of the people they should be controlling the use and distribution of firearms.
Quite why anyone wishes to own automatic weapons in their living room is beyond me. Limited ownership in gun club areas is acceptable.
The fact they allowed a gun ban to even run out without trying to engage some other form of legislation reeks of a little madness.
Especially in a culture that is currently promoting it's security as a prime election issue.
If you dont want Al Qaeda walking around getting hold of military munitions why make them legal.
Of course the gun lobby will say they wish to defend their homes with AK47's!!
I am sure a 20 gauge shotgun is just as good in civilian security.

No, but you can sue them for selling them to minors or to people who are mentally unstable.

According to some psychology studies it's because of a deep sense of personal, social and sexual inadequacy.

You would think that would occur to them, but I guess common sense has very little to do with this.
