I'd like to have a play with this. Mine clearance by building someting that can take driving over an anti-tank mine & then driving it around minefields!

That truck looks very like the ones the South African army used to ride around in, although as it was also landmine-resistant it might just be convergent design.

Did you see, incidentally, the article about the Falklanders suggesting their minefields be left alone rather than swept? Rather inspiring, I thought. It's here.

hmm.. i was under the impression that anti-tank mines posed little threat to people. i guess it depends on how sensitive the triggers are.

i still rather like the Edinburgh Uni Dervish mine clearance thingy. pity it couldn't continue to get funding and loiters under LT2 :(
