Hi. Having completed the rolling upgrades to our PCs the following (now rather old) bits are spare. They all worked when I took them out! If anyone out there has even older kit they wish to upgrade and can come and collect them from Bruntsfield in the next few days they're free.

Scanner - Black Widow 9636 Pro. Requires proprietry ISA SCSI interface card, for which there are no 32 bit drivers. Feel free to take it & see if you can get it to work on another SCSI interface...

Video card, Matrox Marvel G200 with dongle to do video editing. Claims to be AGP but the AGP slot on the new motherboard is the other way round.

ISDN card - PCI

Sound Cards - Creative AWE 32 ISA & generic PCI sound cards.

Network Cards - Two 10 Mbps PCU Network Cards, BNC and RJ45 connections.

Approx 15-20 m co-ax cable, plus terminators (to connect above two cards...)

Assorted RJ45 network cables.

Printer cable

AT case currently containing a motherboard and AMD K6-2 350, plus PCI sound card. and 128Mb SDRam

Two kettle plug power leads plus one pass through lead.

Two (I assume matched) sims of what I think is EDO ram, but I can't honestly remember what it is.

Whenever, really, we're in all night. We could press drink on you while you're here if you like....

Dearie me. It really ought to be the other way round. I could always pick something up on the way over . . . what are you in the mood for?

Beer is good for you - It's liquid bread!

And we have a wine lake already, not to mention a decent range of whiskys. So something beeroid would be nice.

Sure. Any preferences? Margie's on the corner always has the Caley's Tattoo, which I'm always tempted by.

Sounds perfect. I've never had a bad Caley bottled ale. (We don't talk about the horrible keg thing they had at their beer festival a few years ago)

Did you try the scanner fix that I posted on nickys' edinburgher's post?

Nope, but since there's no ISA slots in the new pooter anyway, it's a moot point. Would have been useful until a week ago :-)

I've forwarded the link to the guy who just took it away anyway, it may help him.
