A gay bike shop?

I mean, yes a gay-friendly bike shop, but a shop selling bikes which are specifically advertised as gay or lesbian (or as a Bi-cycle in the case of the tandem...) ? And then having a kiddy section? It's setting yourself up for mockery I'd have thought, especially as the bikes are not very good (so may actally qualify as "gay" in current use of the term amongst yoof). How the hell can a bike have a sexual orientation? Hmm. Not likely to promote respect and acceptance I wouldn't have thought.

But surely a gay bike would only allow other bikes to ride it?

I can only presume that their target market is people to whom affirming their sexuality is more important than getting a decent bike. Either that or the people running it wanted a gay/lesbian shop and went for a bike shop despite knowing nothing about bikes because there wasn't one already.
