Just a way of creating value, of generating money....profit. Men like to do that. At least by putting the effort in and creating something from essentially man gown raw materials (+ water), they have a cheap cost of production, lowish negative impact on the planet and, then just need to hype the product so people will pay highly for something they can easily live without.
