[livejournal.com profile] zotz, (and a fair few of the rest of you) I think you'll like this mp3. It's a skit on "Going Underground" complaining about the effects of a tube strike on a commuter. It features extensive swearing, so probably not safe for work unless you use headphones!

Most excellent. I know just the person to appreciate that. :)

Whiny fucking bunch, Londoners, aren't they? I think there's something in the water down there. If it's so bad being dependent on the Tube, why don't they just move somewhere else instead? They don't have to live in London. Nobody's twisting their arms.

Yep.

I think that what I dislike most about the South-East is the way the accent makes them sound like they're whinging even when they aren't.

The bit that wound me up was complaining about them wanting 30K. I know that there are loads of people making that much in London who deserve it a lot less than tube drivers - people not personally taking daily responsibility for hundreds of people's lives.

Ah well. It's more Richard Stilgoe than Tom Lehrer - I should stop being so critical, really.

Oh, yes the complaints in the song are just crap. I just liked the idea of it, really. It's definately not Tom Lehrer. I suppose I was more amused by someone going to that effort for a selfish whinge, and pretty much dismissed tha actual content. We may be thinking about this too much!
