That is impressive.
I've always wanted to live in a lighthouse. We almost did when I was little.

Gawd I would love to be there watching the waves crash around. Impressive indeed!

There used to be a small one in the middle of the prom. In the late Eighties when [livejournal.com profile] zotz and I were going down there to watch the dawn after being up all night talking crap we developed elaborate plans for it. I don't know if it's still there.

Very exhilerating. I love elemental forces of nature, it makes you feel so humble.

That bloke in the doorway's about to get his feet wet though.

I remember sipping tea when I was a nipper in Granton lighthouse after being rescued from my dad's very small boat (I mean teenie) in very choppy waters. And various races around the one in Newhaven, but Portobello. Hmmm I would love to know where it is, I am down there often and I can't recall seeing one. Doesn't mean it isn't there. I do walk around at times with my eyes closed.

I've seen that one - and a few others presumably from the same series - on sale as posters. I was not entirely untempted.

There is, of course, famously only one way to get rid of temptation.

Doesn't seem to be one on the OS map. It may have been taken away in the last 15 years or so!

It certainly doesn't look wise to be standing outside like that...
