Memeage from [livejournal.com profile] andrewducker

The first three come with the caveat that these things are owned jointly with [livejournal.com profile] nickys....

And they're all guesses - I haven't come round and checked your houses!

Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does:

I'm old so I'm going for LPs. "Tom Paxton's Children's Songbook" - a true classic. This has the same songs (and more) on it. I particularly recommend Englebert the Elephant and Marvelous Toy.

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does:

University of Central England Business School, Centre for International Audit, Module Book: Accounting & Financial Systems
Actually, I doubt [livejournal.com profile] nickys wants any part of that. I know I don't but I have no choice....

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does:

"Cyrano De Bergerac" - the 1950 version with José Ferrer in the title role. (I also have the more recent version with Gerard Depardieu which is an excellent film.)

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has:

SEME Borden. It's the training centre for REME - the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers. They fix the things the rest of the British Army break. I doubt anyone else on my list has served with them!

My dad may have been to Borden at some point...he was in a REME unit during the war, though he may have demobbed before getting anywhere near there.

Oddly enough the Canadian Forces also has a camp Borden, popularly known as Camp Boredom.

I've no idea what the wartime set-up was, but it's where all regular REME are trained now. Us part-timers just visit occasionally.
