Would be a nightmare cleaning the chain :(

I don't think so, actually. It's just one long chain so one of those clips-to-the-rear-mech type automatic cleaners would do it OK. Just have to spend longer spinning the cranks. Don't fancy technical climbs on it much, though descents would be less scary since you're not over the bars. Don't think you'd be able to see exactly where you're front wheel's going either, which would be interesting!
