Just browsing through some books of renaissance illustrations and I found a woodcut from about 1480 entitled "The Household Utensils Necessary in Married Life" by Hans Paur.

Just browsing through some books of renaissance illustrations and I found a woodcut from about 1480 entitled "The Household Utensils Necessary in Married Life" by Hans Paur.

The first item is of course a bed but the two to the left of the couple seem a little out of place by modern reckoning:

Seems reasonable to me however. And I think we have actually got pretty much everything in that woodcut.
