Tonight I learned that an old friend died last week. She met a car coming the other way on the way home from a bike rally, and died at the scene.

She was my brother in arms, briefly my lover, and a great friend.

I was honoured to have known her, she was a wonderful person who enriched many lives, especially those of inexperienced young men.

There is a gaping hole in the world tonight.

The first time I drank Moniac mead she & I split a bottle. I'll drink her share for her tonight.
